Dr. Lockhart grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an undergraduate he attended Louisiana State University. He attended veterinary school in St. Kitts, in the West Indies, and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lockhart performed his small animal internship at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. He has one dog named Luna and two cats named Thundercat and Anthony. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, eating sushi, working out, exercising his artistic skills by drawing and painting.
Dr. Erica Liu was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. She came to United Stated in 2010 with a dream of becoming a Veterinarian. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Arizona and moved to Phoenix to pursue her DVM degree. She graduated from Midwestern University Veterinary College in May 2019, mostly focused on small animals. She took an oath to use her scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering and the conservation of animal resources and the promotion of public health. She believes the best way to provide the professional care for animals is through working closely with their family. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. She has one cat named Hooba. Hooba was one of the orphan kittens found in Tucson in 2014, they become each other’s best study buddy, sleeping buddy and playing buddy.
Dr. Capria grew up in Upstate New York and cultivated her interest to work with animals starting at an early age. After high school, Dr. Capria moved to Buffalo where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College. She then worked as a licensed veterinary technician for 6 years. During that 6 years she also pursued a Master’s degree in Public Health from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Soon after, Dr. Capria moved to the island of Saint Christopher (St. Kitts) to complete her degree in Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her primary interests are in emergency medicine, and exotic pet medicine. In her free time, Dr. Capria enjoys going hiking with her dog, Rascal, swimming, baking and reading.
Alina is an Arizona native and loves living here! She completed high school and has taken some college courses in education. She has been in this field for over ten years. She was a foster failure through Cavalier Rescue Foundation where she adopted her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Ace, she also has a Shih-poo named Cuervo. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Brittni (Bree) was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. Bree graduated from Artistic Beauty College in 2007. Bree has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister. She has four cats; Jasmine, Chub Chub, Baby Girl, Token and a beta fish named Bruce. In her free time Bree enjoys crafts, reading, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. Bree loves animals of all sizes, however she is frightened by catfish.
Mikaylee (Mickey) was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She grew up around various furry friends and carries a deep affinity for caring for them. She is currently pursuing photography courses to enhance her creative skill and earn her diploma. In her free time, she enjoys photographing people, animals, and nature while spending as much time outdoors as she can.
Patti is a California native, but decided to plant her roots in Arizona. After High School, she took some courses to become an EMT. During that time, she entered motherhood. While raising her children, she entered the animal field as a pet groomer for 14 years. Her love for animals has made her want to stay in the animal care field. In her spare time, she loves spending time with family, making people laugh and putting smiles on faces.
Dayona was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. The minute she graduated high school, she knew she had a passion for taking care of animals! She is currently in school to become a veterinary assistant to get her associate degree. During her down time, she enjoys spending time with family/friends, doing yoga, and shopping.
Emily is originally from the charming state of Georgia and is now happily settled in sunny Arizona. Her heart is full with two incredible rescue dogs, Frank Ocean and Stevie Nicks, who bring endless joy to her life. Growing up surrounded by a variety of animals, she has always dreamed of owning a sprawling piece of land where she can create a sanctuary for shelter pets, ensuring they can live out their lives in comfort. In her free time, you’ll often find her exploring new places with Frank and Stevie, showering them with affection and discovering new adventures together. She is passionate about giving animals the happy lives they deserve and is dedicated to making that dream a reality.
Tonia was born and raised in the Bay Area, California, but has been in Arizona since 2006. Tonia graduated from Pima Medical Institute for Veterinary Assisting and worked as a technician for about 3 years before transitioning to the front office. She loves being the first voice and smile to help clients during some of their most stressful times. Tonia has been with Tempe Lake since July 2022 and loves having a home here. In her free time, Tonia enjoys reading, watching movies, playing guitar and singing, collecting all things Alice in Wonderland, and spending time with her family, friends, and cat named Dinah Marie.
Dianne was born in California and has lived in Arizona for 39 years. She has been in this field for 15 years starting as a groomer before becoming a Veterinary Technician and loves working with animals! At home she has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that she rescued from Cavalier Rescue Foundation named Trixie and Penny and 4 cats named Elmo, Hunter, Jet, and Blue. In her free time she enjoys going to the movies with her son and shopping.
Brianna was born and raised in Arizona and has always had a love of animals and a passion to help improve their lives. She first entered the field in January of 2020 at the start of the Covid quarantine. Since being in the field, she has developed a passion for dentistry and senior care. She has 3 rescue pitties and 3 sassy cats at home. In her free time, she enjoys going to festivals, traveling and finding new coffee shops to explore.
Sierra is an Arizona native who grew up all throughout the valley. She’s been in this field for 2 and a half years and enjoys every minute of it, from educating pet owners to helping animals in their last moments with comfort and passion. She enjoys hiking, taking cruises, long road trips, trying new foods, playing video games, and relaxing with her dog Calliope and her cat Link. She’s always had a passion for animals since she was a child and would spend most of her time with them. She would love to pursue a degree in biological science and progress in animal research.
Lyndsey was born and raised in Arizona. She has been in this field a little over 5 years and she enjoys every minute of it, from educating pet owners to helping animals in their last moments with comfort and compassion. She enjoys roller skating, being with her cats & long road trips. She has always had a passion for animals since she was a little girl and would spend most of her time with them. Her next goal is to further her education and become a certified veterinary technician.
Alvina was born in Phoenix but grew up in New Mexico on the Navajo Nation. Due to the poor health and safety in the community, pursuing the veterinary field is something she always had a passion for and wanted to do from a young age. In November 2022, she received her veterinary assistant certification through Carrington College of Phoenix. Her goal now is to learn more in the veterinary field and build her experience while balancing her life as a mother. She likes to spend her days off reading manga and hanging out with her daughter and two cats Pika and Luna.
Scout is a passionate newcomer to Phoenix who has years of experience in the veterinary field. She is dedicated to advancing her career and is currently working towards becoming a certified veterinary technician. At home, she shares her space with a lovable dog named Riley and two charming cats, Atlas and Dharma. When she’s not caring for animals, Scout enjoys unwinding with a good book or catching up on the latest movies.
Vanessa moved from California and has lived in Arizona now for years. She has been in the veterinary field since 2018 and is a certified veterinary assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and spending as much time as she can snuggling and playing with her 3 cats Onyx, Walter and Shadow. She hopes to continue learning and in the near future to become a certified veterinary technician so she can continue to follow her passion and help as many pets and people as possible.
Rebecca was born and raised in Arizona. After completing high school, she volunteered at Arizona Animal Welfare League. Went to Carrington College for Veterinary assistant and plans to go back to school for veterinary technician. She loves animals and has a passion for working in the field. Has two nieces she cares for and loves being an aunt. In her spare time, she loves reading, cooking and baking, horror movies, video gaming, and spending time with family.
Mary was born and raised in Michigan but moved to Arizona in 2016. Mary has worked in the animal field for many years and enjoys spending all of her time with them. She has many pets including one dog, four cats and a bird. Mary’s dog Kitana loves playing in the daycamp yards and spending time with her mom. She believes animals should be spoiled and cuddled to the fullest extent and given all the love and attention they deserve! In Mary’s free time she loves being outdoors hiking and on the weekends shopping!
Brittani was born and raised in New Orleans and has 3 siblings. 1 older sister, 1 younger sister, and 1 brother. She grew up with animals all her life, helping out the rescues with adoption fairs or fostering animals, always trying to do her part to help those animals feel safe and happy. She dreams of one day owning a rescue/rehabilitation center for all animals so they can have a good life. She hopes to help them learn to trust and love again. In her free time, she likes to do anything with her fur babies, they love to watch anime or try cooking new foods.
Chris started working as a dog bather in high school and has been grooming now for over 35 years. She grooms all breeds of dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs too! She has been working in Scottsdale for over 13 years and loves coming into work every day. She has a special knack in grooming for the more “hard to handle” or “special needs” pets and is partial to the older senior dogs. She can groom any pet to your specifications; whether it be a breed standard cut, an easy-care comfort cut, or the latest Asian Fusion style- Chris can do it all. She lives in Gilbert with her husband and four sons, a cattle dog mix named IAN B SMOVE, A cat named NAMI that rules the house, and a very spoiled cockatoo named BiBi Bird. BiBi likes to come to work with Chris- so you may see her from time to time. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the many different sporting events her sons are involved in as well as helping her husband with his catering business, taking trips to Vegas and pet sitting.
